About Dr. Lekic

Nikola Lekic, M.D.

Nikola Lekic, M.D. attended Regis High School in NYC, the alma mater of Dr. Anthony Fauci, and then Boston College. Thereafter, he earned a Master of Science degree from Georgetown University, he graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society and President of the Orthopedic Surgery student group. 

Subsequently, he completed orthopedic surgery residency at University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital (Level I Trauma Center) where he treated patients with severe orthopedic trauma and other general orthopedic conditions. Nikola Lekic, M.D. assisted with caring for athletes at the high school, college and professional level in Miami, FL and Houston, TX. Next, he received additional fellowship training to specialize in adult and pediatric hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at Baylor College of Medicine under the guidance of both Plastic Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons. 

Following his training, he joined the South Florida Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine group in Florida www.SouthFlaOrtho.com.

Nikola Lekic, M.D. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. Additionally, he is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and American Association for Hand Surgery. 

Nikola Lekic, M.D. presented research at national meetings and he has published in the prestigious Journal of Hand Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and others (see list below). He is actively involved in research and has published several orthopedic book chapters.
