A fracture is a cracked or broken bone. There are many reasons why a bone may be injured such as trauma, muscles pulling on bones (avulsion fractures), stress fractures, and decreased bone density (osteoporosis), to name a few.
General orthopedics includes the treatment of pain, deformity, and/or dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. This includes bones, muscles, tendons, and joints.
Hand & Upper Extremity
Hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, humerus, and shoulder problems are common. Having completed an added sub-specialization in this field, Dr. Lekic treats both adults and children.
Microvascular Surgery
Microsurgery involves using a microscope to connect nerves, arteries, and veins. There are many conditions that may be treated with microsurgery such as an injured nerve or decreased blood flow / circulation to the fingers.
